Sightings

In the sightings workshops you will be introduced to a piece of spoken word poetry, which will then be the focus of the workshop. As a group We will use that spoken word piece as a catalyst for conversation, exploring how the piece makes you think, and feel. You will then be led through a creative process in which you will respond to the spoken word with art. You will be given the tools to paint or draw. At the end of the workshop We will share our creations before revealing the piece of visual art that inspired the spoken word piece used in the session. We welcome all to this workshop regardless of experience.
These workshops will be led by Charmaine Welds.
Both the sightings and scribings workshops will begin with a welcome ritual which includes a guided meditation. Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment for all who join us at Musings Of The Mystics.
As artists, We exist to create and manifest change across Our respective mediums and to varying degrees; none holding more importance or significance than the other. This can be a solitary experience...but it does not have to be. Now more than ever, it is important to reestablish ancient networks anew and forge new links across the creative community to aid in bringing harmony to a tumultuous time.
